Great games from either end of the Napoleonic period

We have followed the development of Luca's 2012 Borodino project for some months. Two years of planning and development have now culminated in a fantastic game to commemorate the bicentennial of the battle. See Luca's report of the game on his Borodino 1812-2012 blog. He also has a link to more pictures of the game. Fantastic stuff, well done Luca and the Miles Gloriosus group.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale, both chronologically and in size, Warren aka Michael is staging a series of games based on the first battles of Napoleon's first campaign in Italy. The latest of these is Montenotte, Napoleon's first victory of the campaign, which Michael developed into a balanced scenario that was played out at recent convention October Surprise. He has a detailed game report with excellent photo accompaniment on his blog, along with details of the scenario. I have put a link to this game and the earlier one of the Voltri combat under the 1792–1811 : 1992–2011 tab above.

We look forward with great anticipation to the coming games of Dego and Mondovi Michael!
