The rearguard action that saved an army

Mike and his wargaming friends in Bloomington Illinois recently staged a great game based on the First Battle of Krasnoi, 14th August 1812. This was the fighting retreat by Neverovski's outnumbered 27th Division that blunted Napoleon's outflanking of Barclay de Tolly's exposed First Army of the West.
