When thinking about wargaming the bicentennial of 1813 one name springs to mind; Rafa Pardo.

Rafa has, through is Wargaming with Napoleonic Miniatures website and Project Leipzig (1813) blog created not only a record of his research into battles and units, design of scenarios, painting of figures and, of course, wargames, but has also produced a marvellous resource and website of key links for other wargamers: be they novices or old grumblers.

The main reason for alerting readers of this blog to Rafa's 'work' is for his numerous reports of games based on the battles of the 1813 campaign in Saxony.
How's this for an impressive list?

KALISZ (FEBRUARY 13, 1813)
LUTZEN (MAY 2, 1813)
REICHENBACH (MAY 1813)
GOLDBERG (AUGUST 1813)
KATZBACH (AUGUST 16, 1813)
GROSS-BEEREN (AUGUST 23,1813)
DRESDEN (AUGUST 26, 1813)
HAGELBERG (AUGUST 27,1813)
PIRNA (AUGUST 28, 1813)
KULM (AUGUST 29-30, 1813)
DENNEWITZ (SEPTEMBER 6,1813)
GÖHRDE (SEPTEMBER 16, 1813)
WARTENBURG (OCTOBER 3, 1813)
LIEBERTWOLKWITZ (OCTOBER 14, 1813)
MOCKERN (OCTOBER 16, 1813)

That's not all of them either. He has done numerous games based on battles from other Napoleonic campaigns, as well as some fictitious scenarios.

Do yourself a favour and check them out here!

He is planning to do re-fights of other battles in the near future. Hopefully he'll tackle the big one, Leipzig, in its entirety.

Go for it Rafa!
