Before we embark on links to re-fights of the battles of 1814, I think we need to catch up on some bicentennial (and not quite bicentennial) games from 1813 (and earlier).

1813 Bicentennial

Never have too many Bautzens?
The Association of Riflemen and Avon Napoleonic Fellowship thought so, with separate re-fights staged in separate hemispheres!

Report of the Riflemen's game here.

The Avon Napoleonic Fellowship game was played over three sessions, so we have part one, part two and part three.

The big one, the Battle of the Nations
We have an update of Leipzig in the Attic, courtesy of Mark, Son of York.

Plus a re-fight of the first day around Wachau from L'Atelier des Portes d'Argent.

Other historical re-fights

Borodino 201.5
Each January the Napoleonic wargamers from the Nunawading Wargames Association, based in Melbourne, Victoria head east of the city for a grand weekend game. This year they put on a mega-game of Borodino. Yours truly was lucky enough to join them for four days when too much wargaming was barely enough.

'Our man' Rosbif has provided a marvellous report in four parts:
the first day's play,
part two,
part three,
the conclusion.

Talavera 204.5
The SWAGS group in Albany, Western Australia put on this marvellous game of Talavera, which I was also able to attend (lucky me again).
Report of the game here.

Alcantara 205
Lastly, but by no means least, a refight of the Battle of Alcantara: 14 May, 1809 (with a bit of licence!) from the lads in Ayrshire, Scotland.
