Ken the Napoleonic Adventurer and his son recently played out a bicentennial game of the Battle of Brienne. Completed using the Grande Armée rules it was all over in 2 1/2 hours and featured some close fighting around the town.
They are now planning Champaubert.
With just under a year until the 200th anniversary of Waterloo, several groups have been readying themselves by conducting playtests and games of other actions from the Hundred Days.
Maréchal Sparker and the lads from the Hall of Heroes played out sections of Ligny and Waterloo to test the ground for the big one in 1:20.
Further south, Quatre Bras was being used as a test game for the bicentennial game of Waterloo by the fellas from the NWA.
Up in Canada, DougH and David played a 199th game of the little known Battle of La Souffel, 28th June 1815.
